  • To BigMagicCat. Total (almost) renaming of Finnish names of villages and other geographical objects was in 1948 y. Part of old names (approx. 5%) still lived: like railway stations Kuolemajarvi, Mellupelto, Mesterjarvi and ect. Total renaming was in RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialistic Republic), but not in Karelian SSR, where almost all names still lived.
