Built 1876, arch. H.Ende, V.Bekmanis. The Berlin architects, Hermann Ende and Wilhelm Beckman, invited a young German sculptor August Volz to come to Riga to do the ornamentation. Volz so loved the city that he never left and was responsible for so many lovely works in Riga.
