This is an awesome year-round park right on the Merrimack River near NBPT (Newburyport,MA). It was once the estate of the Moseley family where 19th century gardens are maintained to this day. There is an old hedge row that creates a tunnel for young children to weave in and out of that is always fun for the kids. Some activities we've seen happening here are: concerts, plays, hiking, fishing, bird watching, cycling, picnicking, horseback riding, X-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

It is also home to local theatre group Theater in the Open.

    Cross Country course here is dedicated to local running legend Travis Landreth who died while training with the Nike Farm Team. There is a wonderful memorial @ about 1.25 mile mark in course. Here is the story of Trav's untimely death: Former UConn All-American Travis Landreth Has Died 2001-01-17 courtesy of UConn Sports Information PALO ALTO, CA (Jan. 16, 2001) - Former University of Connecticut cross country All-American, Travis Landreth, died Friday (Jan. 12) during a training run with other members of the Nike Farm Team in Palo Alto, CA. Landreth, 24, of Newburyport, MA, lettered for the UConn cross country and track and field teams from the 1994-95 season through 1997-98 and was the first BIG EAST cross country champion ever for the University of Connecticut. In Nov. of 1997, Landreth earned All-America status by finishing 34th in a field of 179 athletes at the NCAA Mens Cross Country Championship in Greenville, SC. This came after he attained All-BIG EAST laurels by winning the conference title and doing the same at the IC4A Championship. In 1994, he was the United States Junior National Champion in the 5000m and he competed for the United States in the Pan American Games in Chile. "When Travis came to the University of Connecticut his first worry was making the team and over the time that he spent here he was the definition of UConn distance running and the cross country team," stated UConn head coach Greg Roy. "This is a major loss to the Connecticut family, but pales in comparison to that of his own. Our hearts go out to the Landreth family." Landreth will be remembered at the Central Congregational Church of Newburyport, MA, on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the Landreth family asks that donations be made to the Travis Landreth Scholarship Fund, C/O The Institution for Savings, 93 State St., Newburyport, MA, 01950.
