  Daderkot village in Kulgam tehsil remained a historical village in ancent and medival period in Kashmir history ,This village was founded during Kota Raja period when kota rajas were ruling in Kashmir 'amoung the famous rulers of this daynasty was Kota Rani ..Itis said that that Daderkot was once a big city and centerl place of Kotrajag rule 'but due to unavoidable circimstances this place lost the old dignity and charm with the passage of time .The topography of this village indecats the age old dignety .This village is situated on a higher lope of old pargana Advan 'it is about seven K.Mfrom kulgam district head quater on the road side connects Mohmad pora in its south east Areh south west 'Nowpora Chaku and PADDER PORA IN ITS WEST AND hANJAN AND behi-Bagh in its northern side .It is written in contemporary and espically Hassan Shah Kohi-hama in Tarikh-i- Kashmir has written that the great lady [Sader Moj]or Sadder DED MOTHER OF GREAT rESHI SAINT OF kASHMIR Hizrat Sheikh-Ul-ALAM sHEIKH NOOR -UD -dIN wALI was the daughter of the Kot Raj daynasty 'so daderkot is bestowed another blessing beaing the home of this great lady .Daderkot area remained importent place because the highway between Shopyian Moughal road during medival period in Kashmir history.during Chack period in Kashmir this area emerged as a base cump for the Kashmiri forces .many adjourning villages of Dader Kot village were named on Chaks such Chak-i- AzizWani Chak-i-Choland'Chak-i-Hanjan etc .DaderKot village remained a base cump of Kashmiri forces when the famous battel was fought between Moughal and Chack rulers in the first instance MOoughal forces suffered heavely hundreds of Moughal troops were killd ;these people were buried in DaderKOT village graveyard named as Moughal Mazar near Moughal Maidan in Daderkot .This village once the center of Kota Rajas lost its charm during Sikh and Dogra rule in Kashmir all land belongs to different Jagirdars and Dader Kot people were only tanants 'Begar and other forced labour 'illtracy victamized the people '.Now Daderkot people worked hard and this village emerged a big apple center in the area ,I Gh Hassan Bhat Runjoor Mohmad pora M,A[ History]B.Ed hope that this village will progress and hard working people of Dader kot will take the villge towards prosperty
