The current South Stand was built in 1913 and is oldest stand at Hillsborough. A second tier, the Grandstand, was added in 1995 in time for the Euro 96. An upper tier of 3,000 extra seats, a new roof, 30 executive boxes, two conference suites, a bar, a restaurant and a range of office space were added. The current capacity of the stand is 11,354. The stand's current title sponsor is Lifeskills.
After an absence of several years, the Family Stand - a dedicated families-only section of the upper-tier Grandstand - returned in 2013. Gangways leading to Family Stand sections have been painted green, to differentiate them from the white gangways leading to other areas of the Grandstand.
