This was a house that was spared from a fire in 1987. The man who lived here thought he was taking important papers out of his home - turned out they were Sears catalogs. Fortunately, his home still stands. Admission to the museum is $2. Ask to talk to the man, who is a docent. M-F 9-2PM.

  • Funny thing is most of the houses that burned were almost 1/2 mile away from here. All of the houses on this street and neighboring streets were spared.
