Germany / Bayern / Neu-Ulm / Ulm
 Gemeindezentrum, Kulturzentrum

Ulm Stadthaus auf dem Münsterplatz. Genannt Meierbau (1992-1994), nach dem Architekten Richard Meier.

  • Having been built by the leading New York architect Richard Meier in1993, the Town House on the Minster Square-also known as "Meierbau" - is a masterpiece of modern architecture. Located at the site of a former monastery (1229-1874), the Town House serves today as Tourist Information. It is also a popular location for exhibitions, concerts and events. A memorial on the Minster Square by Otl Aicher reminds of Hans and Sophie Scholl and their humanist resistance group "White Rose" in Nazi Germany. The siblings were sentenced to death on Febr. 22, 1943 and executed on the same day.
