This is the site of the First Raquette Lake Village. The only two structures of this era are the
General Store/Post office, which is now a not-for-profit retreat center, and the wonderfully
restored church: Camp Saint William's. I add the Camp, because in the current Raquette Lake
Village, there is another Saint William's church, which offers Saturday evening and Sunday
Catholic Mass.
