house, ruins, brickworks, stonemasonry
Named after William de Someries, the mansion was constructed in 1430 and is regarded as one of the first brick buildings in the country. The house was never fully completed and even though parts were demolished in the 1700's; the impressive details of brickwork masonry can still be seen in the gatehouse chapel.
