RAF High Ercall in Shropshire was opened in 1940 and was used by fighter command during WW2. After this period the base was used as RAF MU and as a sub site for RAF Cosford, until it closed in 1966. Currently it is used for storage, industry and police dog training, although many of the building still remain unused.
