Originally known as the Splendid Palace, it is notable for the rich and luxurious stylized rococo atchitectural style. The interior is decorated by sculptural mouldings by Rihards Maurs and Jēkabs Legzdiņš, as well as paintings by Hermanis Grīnbergs.
