the ruins of the fortified Byzantine city of Dragamestos ,which was build on the spot aproximetly of the ancient city of Astakos , today the ruins of 3 early Cristian Basilicas are the talest and most important ancient biuldings surviving in the area ,they are build inside the especialy fortified acropolis of the city, later and probably during the era of the Turkish occupation of Greece , the place was deserted and a new Dragamestos was build farther inland so it would be safer from pirate attack..
