Family home of the Bowen Family? built in 1852, then converted to hospital around 1950's and now office. Victorian Italianate style mansion originally built as a larger house than now exists which when built had a billiard room which then joined the main house to the servants quarters. These quarters are now the seperate house to the east of Corbar Hall. Original features well preserved internally including fine oak staircase modelled on the Dorethy Vernon Staircase at Haddon Hall. The lodge on the main road was also built at the same time as the house and the drive was lined with mature rhododendrons. The high rise hospital building was built on the original croquet lawn of the house. The hall also known as Corbar Villa might be attributed to Joseph Paxton who laid out the Buxton Park and Devonshire Parks adjacent.
