  Gamharia is famous for ancient Saraswati MANDIR. On Basant Panchmi (Saraswati Puja) thousands of devotees come here to worship Maa Sharde. People of Nepal also come here to worship the 'Goddess of Learning'. Every evening at 7 pm Maa Sharde's arti and bhajans are chanted by the people of Gamharia and its neighbouring villages.
