According to some sources there is an airport (IATA airport code: KVU) here. But it's not. Neither here nor anywhere in Korolevu. If ever, it has been removed quite a time ago.

  • There was an airport in Korolevu but it wasn't this close to the Warwick hotel which is sitting to the east of the designated box. The airport was slightly further west, near on the corner of Queens and Bila Rd.
  • I read a reference to this airport - it was a comment made in 2006 of someone who's been there.
  • Not sure whether this is a real reference or just a dream of the shop owner: http://picasaweb.google.com/dimandnick/FijiJuly07#5086945307000341554
  • that picture was taken at the site of the old airport landing strip. My family live across from it :) it's situated on the corner of Queens and Bila rd. My grandparents were there when it was first used as an airstrip for the light planes.
  • I saw that strange building when I was in Korolevu. Really looks like an old airport tower. But I found some coordinates on the web, which suggest the airport to be right here out of Korolevu. Can you please ask your grandparents or some other people around to provide some more information on the airstrip? What was it's time of operation? Is there still some equipment in the building?
