Rongbuk Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma sect in Basum Township, Dingri County, Xigazê Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region, China.
Located on the diversion road from Friendship Highway to Everest North Base Camp. At an altitude of 5154mts, it the highest located religious structure in the world.
