About us
The Congregation of St. Joseph - Josefinos of Murialdo - was founded by St. Leonardo Murialdo in 1873, in Turin, Italy. It was well known for having as main patron, San Jose They call themselves Josefinos of Murialdo - because the founder was San Leonardo. In Brazil, the civil dimension of the Congregation is expressed through the Office Leonardo Murialdo (ILEM).

Why exist?
The purpose of the Congregation is the integral education of children, adolescents and young people impoverished. Aim is to educate for citizenship: forming good Christians and honest citizens.

Presence in Brazil:
The Josefinos of Murialdo arrived in Brazil in 1915, starting activities in southern Brazil, more precisely on Thursday, then Jaguarão, later in Pelotas, and finally in Ana Rechno year of 1928. The founder:
