Site of Old Signer Sewing MAchine Plant, built in 1900, was one of Canada's largest industrial complex. Built Valentine Tanks during WWII. Closed in early 1970's, now abandonned.

This historical site was demolished by private interest (Le Groupe Maurice) in order to build "La Cité Des Tours" a residential complex for people in lost of autonomy. As a majority of people was against the project, Le Groupe Maurice built the new building with an architecture ressembling the Signer's plant.
