Small public garden providing an oasis of calm just behind the craziness of Tottenham Court road. Crabtree Fields was laid out in 1985 by the GLC replacing a former car park on an empty bomb-site. The public gardens recall the old name of the area in the early C18th when it was a meadow known as Crab Tree Field.
