A stone city fortress (kremlin) built in 1528-1531; 125 x 185 m, 7 towers of which three have gates (although not all of them are open). One more gate was made in 1789 in the eastern wall.

On the territory: St.Nicholas church (1681);
St.John the Baptist Cathedral (1901—1904);
Administrative building (late 18th century, now contain a Sunday school and a baptistery devoted to St.Seraphim of Sarov);
Former building of Zaraysk church high school;
Wooden belfry of quite curious forms - a modern construction;
and the priest's house.
