  • As an English-speaking foreigner I had to go to the emergency room of St. Mary’s and was administered by very inexperienced and arrogant staff of young doctors and or interns. I was never seen by a licensed medical physician who was in charge of my care. I provided the emergency room with a printed report of past medical issues and treatments. This document was never seen again or referred to by any physician or caregiver. After several days of care? I was released. I would NEVER choose St. Mary’s Hospital for my health issues in the future.
  • Aloha Last Sunday (12 July 2015) I visited the Seoul ST Mary Hospital bampo Seoul. Because one of my visiting friends was experiencing a painful headache; so we decide to visit the hospital to have a doctor check out her condition. We proceeded to the registration counter and was told that we have to provide a cash deposit before we can be seen. I explained the person at the counter that I will pay in full all medical bill once the doctor examine her. The receptionist told me no; that they can’t not see her without a cash deposit first and turn around and started attending the next person on line. This supposed to be a Catholic Hospital, I’m also a Catholic person and this don’t sound like the actions a catholic organization will tale tour a person in need of medical care. I just want to let everyone know that this is not the best place to received medical care in Korea especially if you are a foreigner visiting Korea. This make you wonder how MERS infection spread to so many people in Korea.
