Designed c. 1900 by McKim, Mead & White in the Renaissance Revival style with Wallace Clement Sabine as acoustical consultant. Symphony Hall is widely considered to be one of the two or three finest concert halls in the world, alongside Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and Vienna's Grosser Musikvereinssaal. All three concert halls are renowned for their exceptional acoustics. It is home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops and is a block away from the New England Conservatory.
