M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute (Russian: Лётно-исследовательский институт имени М. М.Громова Russian: ЛИИ), founded on March 8, 1941, having the longest runways in Europe at 5,403 m, covering an area of 2.5 million square meters , is an important Russian aircraft test base and scientific research center located in Zhukovsky, 40 km south-east of Moscow.

Mikhail Gromov was its first chief.
