The Battle on the Marchfeld (Morava Field) at Dürnkrut and Jedenspeigen took place on August 26 1278 between the Czech king and Moravian margrave Ottokar I on the one side and the Roman king Rudolph of Habsburg and the Hungarian king Ladislaus IV on the other side, and was a decisive event for the history of Central Europe for the following centuries.
