Kursiu-2 - now deserted village 17 km from the town Kursiu and 7 km from the village Golovanova Meshersky in the province, not far from the station Tumskaya. Completely burned down in 1936, along with all residents. Preserved the common grave.

By 1930 the ninth year in the wilds of «Meshersky taiga» grown quite crowded settlement Kursiu-2 issued by the State on the mountain, thousands of cubic meters of high quality wood. From acting at that time a railroad line Meshersky (Tuma-Golovanova) was extended arm of narrow gauge railways. Initially, the threat was not realized. Night with 2 to 3 August in Kursiu-2 came from the empty train stuck.
