  La Beata is a big perfect conic mountain that raises around 300 meters over the floor level, there is a chapel & a big cross at the top, where every May 03, a mass & party is celebrated in honor of the “Santa Cruz” (the Saint Cross). All mountain is populated by forest of “Encinos”, that is a tree of the oak family, but not as big, the fauna includes between others, coyotes, rabbits, eagles, squirrels, & falcons, the unique way to go to the summit is by walking or by helicopter, it takes around 4 hours walking, to be at the top. There is a beautiful sights of all cities near, (Zamora, Jacona, Tangancicuaro), & some other mountains & landscapes.
