Xirokambi is a lively Greek village, nested at the foot of the Taygetos Mountains, 15 km south of Sparta in the Peloponnese. The main square is surrounded by taverns and cafés that are open all year round. Weather permitting, locals and visitors gather under the plane trees for coffee, ouzo, or a Greek meal. The restaurants serve their own (biological) wine and cook with Laconian products.
Xirokambi is home to 1500 inhabitants and houses the town hall of the municipality of Faridos.
