This "knife-edged" ridge in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is one of the most dramatic hikes in the Northeast. Entirely above treeline, it boasts, from south to north, Little Haystack Mountain (4780'), Mount Lincoln (5089'), and Mount Lafayette (5260'). The latter two are on the official 4000'er list for New Hampshire, and Lafayette is the sixth highest--and second most prominent--summit in New Hampshire.
