  • This is a beautiful area, where you walk the large beach and experience the majesty of Lake Ontario. This lake is so huge it looks like an ocean. Cobourg is a delightful little town with some great outdoor restaurants, one place with great atmosphere, is The Oasis Grill, which has a great outdoor patio, live entertainment in the evenings, and a homey friendly bar inside. Such a nice place for a single lady to visit and just enjoy people watching. Food is great and the staff is friendly. Go expecting greetings and a chat if you like. Cobourg is nestled in the glorious hills of Northumberland County filled with antique shops, and a great used furniture center in a somewhat of low end mall. Lots of great vintage treasures there. Canada Day celebrations in Cobourg epitomize small town Ontario, Canada experience. The Cobourg waterfront is great and there is a long and lovely wooden boardwalk just west of the Marina where your doggie can swim in the water which is clean and clear and you can see those golden colored smooth rock lined bottom. Go, visit and fall in love with the area.
  • Cobourg Beach has changed over the last few years. Water is now starting to get very dirty from the bacteria from seagulls poo. Fights tends to break out once in a while. It's also getting overcrowded. The water doesn't start to warm up until like the end of July. Before the end of July the water is freezing cold. Other then this Cobourg Beach is a good beach.
