Cranmore is know as the birthplace of American Ski Instruction. Hannes Schnieder emmigrated to Conway from Austria, and founded America's first Ski School. Today, Cranmore remains a great place to learn to ski, in a friendly, family-oriented resort. Night skiing is offered during select seasons, and there is also day and night snow tubing.

  • I grew up skiing on Cranmore; it may be no Rockies or Sierras but it's the best place in the US to learn. My grandfather and his dad built the famous Skimobile here.
