This is a classic old neighborhood settled over the past 20 yrs by artists and bohemians. The district is full of places to eat, pubs and typical food restaurants. It is safe during the day and less safe at night. Watch your pockets while there in the night. Pablo Neruda's House "La Chascona" is located in this area. It is a must see attraction, the house of the ultimate bohemian. Nearby there are lots of places to buy quality Lapislazuli.
