Voskopojë (Μοscopole)

Albania / Korce / Maliq /

Moscopole (Albanian: Voskopojë or Voskopoja; Aromanian: Moscopole, Moscopolea; Greek: Μοσχόπολις, Moschopolis) is now only a small village. In the 18th century, it was a major Balkan city and cultural and commercial center of the Aromanians, having the first printing press in the Balkans and many churches, but it was razed in 1788 by Ali Pasha.
