The sunken village of the original Ambuklao People. Turned into a dam to supply energy to the country. Now it can be a tourist area but nature at times takes it toll and it is isolated because of landslides during rainy season. It is my land of birth and one of the longest river (Agno River) runs through my village (Lebong). The river is good for swimming and fishing, though I would say that hopefully it is as clean as when we were children in the 1960's. The National Road going to the northern part of the country runs through the village as well. It is supposedly a forest reserve area too because of the man-made lake (Dam patterned after the Hoover Dam of USA). Reforestation took place when I was in high school and university/college and I believe as of the present the trees are already tall. I was also involved in pine tree planting when I was younger. I hope to see these trees when I go back home for a visit. When the spillway opens the cascade of water is a beautiful sight and so is the mist that it creates. JPR
