  I lived in Kishaba Terrace in the early 70's (1971 - 1973) and remember seeing Deep Purple (Richie Blackmore, Ian Pace, etc.) play in a small shopping center parking lot just up the highway from us. They were there promoting the world fair of something at the time. It started to rain a little while they were setting up, so they moved everything under the covered patio of a little fast food place there. They were all jammed in there with their equipment and started playing. Pretty awesome, sitting 5 feet away and watching those guys play. Of-course, at the time I was only 9yrs old and had no real idea who they were, but did recognize several of the songs from the radio.
