Construction of this PWR reactor was started on 01 Aug, 1986. It was connected to the grid on 10 Oct, 2004. This reactor is owned by Energoatom and operated by National Nuclear Energy Generating Company.

The unit is a type VVER V-320, with a thermal capacity of 3000 MW. The Net electric capacity is 950 MW.
