Tallhult Arena is a popular place for the people living in Hagfors and the northern part Varmland. It is the homearena for the speedwayteam VALSARNA who was Swedish champions in 1998 and 1999. The 7th time world champion Tony Rickardsson competed for the team during many years. Many famous speedwaydrivers has competed for the team like Tony Rickardsson (world champion), Sam Ermolenko (world champion), Tomasz Gollob, Mikael Max (who has the trackrecord 53,8 second 9th May 2000), Rune Holta (GP-driver, Stefan Dannö (GP-driver), etc.
Valsarna was also very famous as the first club in the world who had a female driver in their team (Stina Börulfsen).
The speedway track opened in 1969 and is said to be one of the most beautiful speedwaytracks in the world. The track is 290 m long and takes around 5-6000 people. The record is around 4500 (so far).
