Sometime in 1906 the USCGS (now NOAA) established a geodetic marker drilled in a cubic meter of diorite rock atop this mountain.

Formerly belonging to Balanacan, Mogpog but now is located at the boundaries of Brgy. Argao, Hinanggayon and Silangan, Mogpog, Marinduque, with another reference rock marker about 10 feet away. This important geodetic point marker is used as point number one for all map-makers reference point of the country.

Besides the Luzon Datum of 1911 rock marker, the Philippine NAMRIA establized a concrete reference marker. This Luzon Datum of 1911 is at first level accuracy.

Correct Median Coordinates Point (Center Point of the Philippines):
Located in-between Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro and Caluya, Antique is the Philippines center point.
