U-251 was a Type VIIC U-boat. Sunk in position 56.37 N, 11.51 E, on April 19, 1945, by rockets from 8 British and Norwegian Mosquito aircrafts (Sqdn 235 & 248 & 143). 39 dead and 4 survivors.
