Oterdum was a village in the community of Delfzijl. It lied between Delfzijl and Termunten. The village was completely removed in the 1970s, to make place for industrial activities that eventually never came. The old cemetery is reconstructed on the dike, on the same place where once was the village of Oterdum. The old medieval church was demolished and replaced by a monument. Contrary to the recent beliefs, the village never was a victim of the nearby Dollard estuary.
