  • This is a small port with a small fishing fleet. The primary catch is prawns, but there are also boats that target crab and razorfish. The pier was upgraded in 2007 and extended out to sea, with the addition of a dogleg. The area is home to a resident seal population of around 12 animals. In the summer, many visitors fish for mackerel here, and the seals have learned to steal the fish from the hooks, often becoming entangled in strings of hooks, although this does not appear to cause them any distress, and they quickly manage to remove them. Opposite the new pier is a launching ramp for small boats, and the jet skis launched from here are generally regarded as pariahs, often buzzing the people fishing from the pier, and damaging boats by speeding in the harbour.
