Nice village,surrounded by small hills on south with plenty of granite mines at south east to villge,Village has potential for cultivation of various crops,for example ground nuts,cotton,sunflower,green chilli etc.Now it is evolving as one of the mangoes producing villge in kurnool district,It is the only villge(includes byrapuram & mangalapalli) in the orvakal mandal belongs to kodumur constituency which is very far 50kms distance.It had a Govt. Jr. College which was called as R.C.Yella Reddy Jr.college,names after great place donar(Now this college is shifted to mandal head quarters orvakal,i think its name is same) which was famous in the whole kurnool district during late 80s and early 90s.Well connected with district highway(Nannur to Veldurthi) road from kurnool city which is about 18km. there is one bus for every half an hour from kurnool busstand,plenty of autorikshaws from Rajvihar.
