Late Harish Paul was synonimous with folk music in the district of Cooch Behar.This dedicated patron of Bhawaia Music contributed a lot, both financially and other ways,to the former's coming into prominence.Many present Cooch Beharians do not know that this gentleman was the 1st distributor of the PHILIPS company in the zone. As a tribute to his contribution and popularity, the crossroad adjucent to his house has been named Harish Paul Chowpathy.
