Established in 1953 by Rolls Royce to build engines for T33 trainers ordered by the RCAF, the plant now serves as a major repair and overhaul facility for civil and military aero engines. The 500,000 sq. ft. complex includes five engine test cells, the largest of which is capable of testing 100,000 lbs. of thrust. Serving over 600 air operators from 30 countries, the plant repairs fan blades, combustion chambers, turbine blades and vanes.

The plant also houses the Rolls Royce Industrial Gas Turbine engine operations which designs gas turbine engines for industrial use.
