BAN SAINT JEAN - Security camp for Maginot line (SFFA)
The camp Ban-Saint-Jean was built in 1930 to house the troops of the 146 th GIR , responsible for the defense of the works of the Maginot Line neighbor.
It was used during the Second World War by the Germans as a Soviet POW camp ( Stalag XII-F ) . 2,879 bodies 1 placed in mass graves were exhumed and now rest in the Soviet military cemetery of Noyers-Saint-Martin in the Oise .
