Esterel: Col to Testanier to l'Aigre (Fréjus)

This northern section of the Esterel Mountain on the Cote d'Azur range holds some wonderful hikes: hikes to the Mont Vinaigre, hikes to l'Aigre, Lac de l'Avellan. Visit its forests of cork oaks, its Eucalyptus trees, its panoramic views of the mountains all the way to the sea. But make sure it isn't too hot (parts of the Esterel can close during intense summer heat for fire prevention).
