Old 622 TCF Radar Site

The US Air Force had a Tactical Radar Stationed here through the 1980's. AN/TPS-43E was the last radar used. I lived at Im Spelzgrund #15 in Bad Kreuznach.

edit: The 622 TCF switched to the AN/TPS-75 radar in 1989 or 1990 (one of the first units to convert), and closed down in late 1991 or early 1992 after Desert Storm.
