Diesel-electric submarine pr.877 equipped with 6 torpedo tubes. 2 of them are designed for remotely controlled torpedoes of modern design with a particularly high rate of failure. The ship can take 18 torpedoes (6 - to torpedo tubes and 12 - on the shelves). Instead of torpedoes can be taken 24 mines, 12 - in torpedo tubes (2 per unit) and 12 - on the shelves.

Submarine B-871 was built in g.Gorky factory "Red Sormovo" (№ 112), serial number - 607. Became operational in 1990.Submarine B-871 was designed by 877V and has experienced a water jet propulsion device (instead of screws). In the early 90's has long been at the pier due to lack of a battery that is getting them only in 1996, and only then began to practice out to sea. In January 2003, the order of Commander of the Russian Navy the submarine was renamed and got a new name - Alrosa. That is the name of a Russian company, which patrons of the submarine and to exert much effort and funds to maintain the submarine.

At the present time submarine "Alrosa" is located in the Standby Force Black Sea Fleet. In essence, it is the only combat-capable submarine of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea. The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet submarine forces have repeatedly won prize-over of the Navy including diesel submarines for a successful attack the detachment of combat ships.
