The Fremont district describes itself as the "Center of the Birkenstock wearing Universe."
Post modern wannabe hippies who love to chase naked chickens. many unique landmarks, including the Fremont Troll, the "Waiting for the Interurban" sculpture. And the 50 foot high Bob's Big Boy Statue, that is the site of many a fertility rite ceremony.

Fremont is also home to the annual Summer Solstice Parade and Pageant, which is known for its creative floats and naked cyclists, chickens are banned from this parade.

The district's bohemian naked chicken chasing inhabitants and apparent lack of culture make it distinct from most other Seattle districts.
