Infants school for children from surrounding Military bases. Closed in 1994 when RAF Gatow was taken over by the Luftwaffe.

  • Remember Gatow school with great memories: I was at this school when the film, The Quiller Memorandum was filmed with George Segal and Senta Berga.....met the stars, and was in one of the scenes. My memories of Berlin, and my time there, still remain with me.
  • Andy Cleeve, I was there as an extra, when they filmed in a local school where Senta Berger played the part of a teacher, great fun, great meals and we got paid, Ive seen the movie umpteen times and Im in two scenes, one where Im running down the stairs inside the school and another where Im playing on the entrance steps as George Segal and Senta Berger leave the school, Im wearing a stripped jumper and shorts!

  • I was at Gatow 1965. Horrible place. One teacher named Preston was a child head slapper . i will never forget that nasty little man. also Ms Wood a really bad teacher.
  • Sadly, Gatow First School Berlin was demolished earlier this year (2017) to make way for private housing. The Officers' Mess has also been transformed - very tastefully - into private flats.   • I was at this school from 1985 until 1987 - Mr Hancock was head teacher - my teachers were Miss Carey then Miss Ineson. Miss Ineson was an excellent teacher! I have fond memories at this school.
