Wilcze Gardlo, translates to 'Wolf Throat', the village was built by the German Army using POW labour, as you enter the village it is possible to see what was the prisoners billet on the left before you pass under the village hall. The village was not complete when the war ended. After the war the village was mainly occupied by French people who chose to live in Communist Eastern Europe. Its architecture & lack of a village church set it apart from all other Polish villages.
